Dubai Watch Week

United for a Moment in Time

Challenge

Founded in 2015 by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Dubai Watch Week is a biennial event that serves as an educational platform to share knowledge, build connections, and celebrate watchmaking. As a pioneer in the industry, it aims to bridge communities and establish itself as a key event in the Dubai calendar.

Designed for enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals within the watchmaking industry, the event features a wide array of activities catering to various interests within the realm of luxury timepieces and horology.

The event seizes the opportunity to serve as a comprehensive platform, celebrating watchmaking and offering attendees a glimpse into the craftsmanship and innovation driving the industry, alongside a rich cultural and educational experience.

Solution

We designed an event experience centered around storytelling and personal engagement. By inviting renowned watchmakers, industry insiders, and passionate collectors to share their personal journeys, challenges, and triumphs, we created a series of intimate, relatable narratives. These sessions were complemented by interactive workshops and hands-on experiences, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the craftsmanship and artistry of watchmaking. Our approach was to humanize the industry, making it more accessible and engaging to a wider audience, particularly to those new to the field.

Results

The implementation of our human-centered approach had a profound impact on Dubai Watch Week. Attendance figures soared, with a significant increase in participation from a younger demographic, indicating a successful extension of the event’s appeal. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees appreciating the personal connections they were able to make with industry stalwarts.

The event also saw an uptick in social media engagement, with users actively sharing their experiences and learnings, further amplifying the reach and influence of Dubai Watch Week. Perhaps most telling was the number of repeat visitors in subsequent editions, underscoring the event’s growing reputation as a must-attend for anyone interested in or passionate about watchmaking. Through these efforts, Dubai Watch Week not only solidified its position as a pioneer in the Middle East but also as a global beacon for watchmaking culture, education, and community.
